 saw a bottle hidden under his pajamas.
So out of curiosity, Omar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him: O young man! What are you hiding under your clothes ??
There was a bottle under his clothes. And the bottle was full of wine. And that's why he was hesitant to show the bottle for fear. But in this difficult moment, he became very remorseful for his sins and began to pray to God for forgiveness.
And he said to Allah: O great Allah! You do not shame me in front of Caliph Omar (may Allah be pleased with him).
Do not expose my faults to Caliph Omar and forgive me. I offer my sincere repentance to you and I promise that I will never drink alcohol again. Forgive me and save me from the punishment of Omar.
After such repentance, Hazrat Omar (RA) wanted to see his bottle. So the young man said, O Khalifa Omar, there is a bottle of vinegar here. But Hazrat Omar did not believe in his words completely and he looked away.
When the young man came out to show him the bottle as he said, it was seen that the bottle was really full of vinegar.
If a person repents after committing a sin and prays to Allah and seeks forgiveness, then Allah forgives him and keeps his dignity and honor intact.
