All it Takes is TIME and DETERMINATION!

Life seems to be forever moving faster and faster.

Meanwhile, I have been watching this gradual societal trand towards seeking "instant riches" across so many different areas of life.

I'm not just talking about "crypto moonshots" here; people who become rich overnight because they got lucky with some memecoin, in the right moment. I'm also talking about those who set their sights on finding instant fame as a YouTube influencer, or just waiting to be "discovered" and signed to a multi-million dollar professional basketball contract.

We seem to have thrown away the idea of what you can do with time and determination.

That has been one of the things in life I have typically depended on, because I lack any "extraordinary talents," and it has often been my best "skill" that I am willing to put in more time than others.

I suppose there are upsides and downsides to that... one of the downsides being that I end up sticking with something far longer than it merits, merely out of some misplaced sense of loyalty or continuation.

But if you look at it in terms of investment strategy, one of the upsides is that we start seeing the magic of compounding go to work.

Simple example: Consider your Blurt stake. As you keep publishing and earning rewards — given that you wouldn't power down and cash out — not only does your BP keep increasing, but it keeps increasing at an increasing rate because what you gain from curation and base inflation keeps growing, as well.

And that's something you'll only experience if you are willing to give it time.

I often write these posts as a sort of "pep talk" for myself, because I need the reminders that what I am doing is not a complete waste of time! Investing for the future is hard when you can barely afford to live — as is — and there's no monthly excess to invest... just what's "out of sight" in the form of stake building.
