Greetings Earthlings

Hello fellow blurters, this is my first post on this platform. I recently had my Facebook account deactivated after breaking the "community guidelines" too often. Bizarrely they restored the account a week later with no explanation, notification or apologies for their error. What was the post that caused it? An April fools article about David Icke appearing on the BBC1 show 'Strictly Come Dancing' (UK version of 'Dancing with the Stars'). In the days leading up to this they were trawling through posts from years back trying to find some fault and remove them. Anyway in that week without Facebook I discovered "Life is Betta, without Meta". Hey that sounds good, I might turn that into a meme. As a free-lance graphic designer with an interest in unplugging from the matrix and a sense of humour I often create memes when a moment of inspiration comes to me. I post them on my instagram account (same username), and will share some here in future.

A bit more about me: Back in 2012 I started one of the first, if not the first vegan magazines called Lúcuma. It began as an online magazine but evolved into a physical magazine reaching 10,000 copies at its height in 2018. For an independent magazine in the digital age that is quite impressive. Before the scamdemic I had plans to make video content for Lúcuma, now things a little back to the "old normal", I hope to do that now. I'm also a musician and have been recording an album of what I call conscious music. Here's a link to one of the tracks called 'Fake News':

Thanks to @Ultravioletmag for helping me set up this account. I don't know much about Blurt or crypto. For me a crypt is an area underneath a church.

Awesome, welcome to Blurt. I am trying to become a vegan too. I need help. I love bacon too much.

thinly slice aubergine (eggplant) marinate in olive oil, paprika, soy sauce, liquid smoke (optional) and then cook. That is the best healthy vegan bacon I've tried. Off course theres always mock meat versions also.

I went to a boxing day party at a friend's years ago in which the main agenda was to eat bacon sandwiches. Not to be left out I took along 2 packs of 'streaky strips' which at the time were the new veggie alternative to pig slices. I wish I'd taken 10 packs tho because ALL the kids there (and there were many) wanted MY pigless bacon sandwiches instead of the real pig ones. They don't make that particular brand any more but there are many new ones which taste amazeballs even to the diehards.
