The Story of Hypersensitivosaurus - Dino says hi to Blurt

What would HS do.png

About a year and a month ago, I wrote a blog post titled What Would Hypersensitivosaurus do?. Back then I was dabbling into game making, something I tried decades ago and an area in which my younger brother succeeded.

Shortly after that write up, in the early days of October 2019, I actually managed to finish a (n attempt at a ) little game titled: Hypersensitivosaurus

A little over a month later, on Halloween last year, I decided to start writing a bigger story, based on the aforementioned character.

And then, the day after, November 1st 2019, I started partaking in NaNoWriMo ( National Novel Writing Month ) for the first time in my life. That month, I wrote a little over 50 thousand words ( a goal of NaNoWriMo ) for what was supposed to be my first novel:

'The Story of Hypersensitivosaurus'.

A book on a struggling writer trying to finish his first book on a highly sensitive velociraptor.

Months later, after considering what to do with these 50k words, I decided to take another route and go for a children's book, possibly full of short stories based around this reptile and his friends.

More on that shift in From Game to Novel to Children's Book )

Now it's almost a year later, and the hypersensitive - and at times Li'l Hyper or SuperZENsitive lizard - has been on my mind on an almost daily basis. In fact, I have written a dozen or two of short stories centered around this velociraptor ( or velocirapper and his friends and shared many of them.

The novel has never been finished or published though.

Nevertheless, I decided to use the upcoming edition of NaNoWrimo ( next month ) to try to take the next step in this project and possibly edit the story or to - at least - really focus on it for an entire month.

Life has been pretty distracting this year

Although I have so far shared my dino stories on first Steemit and then Hive, I felt like there might be an audience for it on Blurt too.

I guess there's only one way to find out ;<)

TO BE CONTINUED...

Big hug,

Li'l Hyper
aka Sensitivo- or sometimes ZENsitivosaurus

Thank you for sharing your story. I've always been intrigued as to what it takes to write a book. This post gave me a glimpse of that.

Perhaps write a story about a writer trying to write his or her first book.

You're welcome :<)

The 50 thousand words that I wrote last November were actually about a depressed and isolated writer trying to work on and finish his first book ( a book about a dino ).
Let's see if I'll continue with and finish that story next month.

Have a good one!

Interesting I hope to be able to challenge myself to write a 50 thousand word story someday.

So far this was what I learned.

  1. Start with a concept/story you want to share
  2. Challenge to write daily (for two days, then one week, then a month?)
  3. Challenge 50 thousand word

Welcome to the Blurt family, you have a very interesting story, I hope you stay encouraged and can continue writing so that you can achieve your book.
Good vibes.

Thank you for your kind words. I definitely plan to keep writing, although it's sometimes tough to focus on actual 'book' writing next to all the other online writing that takes places throughout the day.

Um abraco
