Well here I am! Took me long enough I guess, lol! Some of you may know me from Hive and even as far back as Steem… some perhaps not. If not, then “HELLO!” – I am Jayne. I am a Capetonian born South African. For almost four years now, I have been blogging and sharing on the above mentioned platforms… sometimes (much to the horror of the powers that RULE an apparently decentralised space) also re-sharing previously published facets of my journey and thoughts. (God forbid!)
Why am I here? Well, I have actually had COUNTLESS people trying to convince me to give Blurt a chance for several months now, but mostly – I have made the decision to stop putting all my eggs into one basket. I want a space where I am ACTUALLY in control of my own blog feed, not one where they “say you are” unless of course you don’t donas you're told...in which case you encounter their WRATH and pretty much end up back where you started.
I am not one to allow people to bully me, so I will continue to share my content on Hive as well as anywhere else I choose to… I love writing, cooking, taking pics and just sharing whatever – whenever. I love music and have always done my best to spread positive vibes wherever I go. I would like to do that here on Blurt, but I have a couple of questions first… so would be SUPER grateful for some informed feedback.
Am I going to get “ripped a new one” for cross-posting content here?
What if I share old content like once a year?
Is there a “steemworld.org or “hivestats.io” equivalent for Blurt?
What else do I need to know from the get go? – (good or bad)
Looking forward to feedback from those of you that have been here for a bit and hoping that I can make this a regular space for appearance. According to someone on Hive (I forget who made the comment on my post) Blurt is the space for all the Hive people that have been wrapped on the knuckles hahahahaha!!!!! Well, I never was one for rules or being dictated to… so let’s hope this makes a good fit then. PS. Thanks to @offgridlife for persisting and assisting along the way :)

Hey - Great to see you here @Jaynie I have been on Blurt since about July. It's awesome. Many Artists, Musicians, writers and Creators have been posting here for a while and building up our Blurt Power since the Fork. It's easy to buy Blurt on https://Hive-Engine.com and that is what I am doing whenever I see a big dip. Blurt has many positive, happy, friendly people here and the best part is that there are no downvote wars like on some of the other Blockchains. So Everyone is Happy Here. Lots of new developments in the works too. They have a very friendly, happy, positive group of Developers here building all kinds of great stuff. Blurt is the place to be.

As you are aware I post similar Content on Blurt, Appics, Steemit, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram (and the other place) .... there is no issue posting similar posts here on Blurt. There are no downvotes here. Only Love. I try to make sure I mention Blurt on my Blurt posts so that I can share with 3 Billion People on Twitter with #blurt #crypto and #blurtlove hashtags.

Multi Chain
I think what you need to know is that we welcome your multi chain approach and it makes a ton of sense. You should not have all of your writing eggs in a single basket and that will enable your content to flourish all over the Internet.
Transaction Fees
You should also know that we are in a little bit of a transition here, you will notice that we have transaction fees. They are automatically deducted from your account when you make any transaction that is committed to the block chain. They're not very big they're also not very small we have raised them quite a bit recently.
On blurt, witnesses set transaction fees.
No Downvotes
This has led to a bit of spam. The upside of having no downloads is that we do not have the negative emotional energy that is caused by downvotes.
Transition away from Graphene
We are going to stop using Larimer style DPOS. This will involve the creation of a second chain, called blurt two. Whether or not the first chain remains operational is a subject of much debate. Regardless, unblurred two, you will be entitled to an equal % of total supply vs your current Blurt account.
Blurt Loves you!
I didn't want to go to Blurt either. A few weeks ago @michelangelo3 made a post about our Uganda project on Blurt and I wanted to thank him for that. So that's how I ended up here and now I think it's much nicer here than at Steemit and Hive. There I always had the feeling that the posts were not being read ...and the bots make the votes....and that's not exactly motivating!
I also think it's nicer here with the clarity of the tags.

Welcome to Blurt. We didn't run in the same circles on Steem/Hive, but I saw how the dictators over there were to you. Hope it works out for you here.
I became disenchanted myself there about 6 months ago, although I wasn't directly harassed as you were for the most part. I don't think they understand that for every person they gang up on there are many of us watching who never say a word and just quietly shake the dust of them and their playground from our feet.
I too started an account here today.
I don't think you will need to worry about reposting here. Here it appears folks are treated like adults who are free to do with their blog and stake as they wish as long as it doesn't harm the community from what I've seen so far.

I learned about what happened to you in Hive and it saddens me.
Personally, I feel that Blurt is a safe haven for passionate creatives like us.
Although this place is a basic blogging platform, for now, I can see it growing in the near future. The core team has been developing with minimal resources and the founders are heavily invested in this chain as well.

I will try to briefly give you some answers to your concern:
Blurt would love to have original content created new, as a way to find his own identity in the world. However, you can share content in parallel, only that it will depend on the curator, and you can receive votes but up to a certain percentage limit.
What if I share old content like once a year?
Recycled content has been a topic of discussion here, we prefer it to be new, however, if you use an image already published previously, perhaps you can come with new content and refer that the image is your property, I do not particularly see no problem about it.
Because it would be with updating a publication, referring to the previous one.
However, that is my point of view, but it is a topic currently under discussion.

You need to know that Blurt is free of negative votes, however it does not imply that we accept plagiarism, or do not respect copyright.
Blurt has a group of labels all managed by different curators selected by the blurt foundation. You can read a little more here

I saw that you were Bullied in Hive too. So sad that the powers that be in there are just.. I can't find words to say, rude, mean, outright bullies, and maybe can kill too.
BTW I use https://blurt-now.com/ for monitoring stuffs. Maybe soon we will more tools for blurt. We have fine developers like @megadrive (Thecryptodrive) and @jacobgadikian, etc. that can develop those for a much richer blurt user experience.
