MY INTRODUCTION TO BLURT

Mi nombre es Guillermo Parra, tengo 28 años, soy de Venezuela, especificamente del Estado Zulia. Soy Ingeniero en Instrumentación y Control (pero no de instrumentos musicales sino de instrumentos industriales).

My name is Guillermo Parra, I'm 28 years old, I am from Venezuela, specifically from the Zulia State. I am an Instrumentation and Control Engineer (industrial instruments).

Me gusta hacer casi todo tipo de deporte y soy totalmente aficionado en cuanto a la expectación. Pero en lo que más me destaco, es en las artes marciales, entre ellas el “KARATE” aunque todavía no soy cinturón negro pero ocupo mi día practicando para llegar a esa meta no es fácil pero tampoco difícil, es un mundo interesante que los invito a experimentar, pues no a todos les gusta y mucho lo critican pero considero que la defensa personal es muy importante aprenderla porque nunca sabemos cuándo vamos a necesitar de ella, y es necesario estar preparados.

I like to do almost all kinds of sports. What I stand out most is in martial arts, including "KARATE" It is an interesting world that I invite you to experience, because not everyone likes it and criticizes it a lot, but I consider that self-defense is very important to learn because we never know when we will need it, and it is necessary to be prepared.

Antes del karate pasé por el mundo del Boxeo en el cual estuve un tiempo entrenando con un grande como lo fue MANUEL VILCHEZ, una gran persona campeón en el panamericano del año 1983 en peso mosca y el cual le agradezco haberme enseñado ese maravilloso arte. También pasé ligeramente por muay thai.

Before karate, I was in the boxing world where I spent time training with a great man like MANUEL VILCHEZ, a great person who was a champion in the 1983 Pan American Flyweight Championship and for whom I thank him for teaching me that wonderful art. I also spent a little time in Muay Thai.

He competido en varios torneos tanto regionales como nacionales. He ganado el 1er lugar en 3 torneos, 1 nacional y 2 regionales en kumite (combate). Y 2do y 3er lugar en kata respectivamente.

I have competed in various regional and national tournaments. I have won 1st place in 3 tournaments, 1 national and 2 regional in kumite (combat). And 2nd and 3rd place in kata respectively.

Toda esa trayectoria se la debo a mi papá quien fue boxeador y amigo de Manuel Vílchez, y que sin saber me empujó a ese mundo, crecí admirando diferentes boxeadores, pero mi gran ídolo es BRUCE LEE.
No siempre he practicado artes marciales, también practiqué beisbol, futbol, entre otros deportes en los cuales estuve involucrado.

I owe all that career to my father who was a boxer and friend of Manuel Vílchez, and who without knowing pushed me into that world, I grew up admiring different boxers, but my great idol is BRUCE LEE.
I have not always practiced martial arts, I also went through baseball, soccer, among other sports in which I was involved.

Desde pequeño me apasionaba el beisbol, estuve en la selección regional, pero no pude continuar por problemas en mi rodilla, luego de una larga recuperación decidí empezar a practicar profesionalmente el futbol campo, pero los problemas en mi rodilla me ganaron ya que el esfuerzo que hay que emplear en dicho deporte es muy fuerte.

Me mantuve sin practicar profesionalmente ningún deporte durante mucho tiempo, solo jugaba con mis amigos vecinos de la infancia hasta hace aprox 7 años que decidí empezar en las distintas disciplinas que les vengo mencionando y me he mantenido en el karate, la verdad se me dificulta a veces por la rodilla, pero aun así me mantengo activo y perseverante.

Since I was a child I was passionate about baseball. I was in the regional team, but I could not continue due to problems in my knee, after a long recovery I decided to start practicing professionally in field soccer, but the problems in my knee won me over because the effort that you have to use in this sport is very strong.
I did not practice any sport professionally for a long time, I only played with my childhood neighbor friends until about 7 years ago when I decided to start in the different disciplines that I have been mentioning and I have stayed in karate, the truth is difficult for me to times by the knee, but still I stay active and persistent.

Otra de mis aficiones son las películas, me gusta mucho ir al cine a ver los estreno, es emocionante y placentero estar allí con viendo la pantalla grande, y el sonido característico del cine. Me inclino a los generos de ciencia ficción, acción, terror, unos que otros dramas, y como no las peliculas animadas. En mis ratos libres tambien me gusta leer libros sobre filosofia moral, ontología, filosofía idealista y literatura. El desarrollo personal y la psicología también son areas que me gusta aprender constantemente.

Another of my hobbies is the cinema, I really like going to the cinema to see the premieres, it is exciting and pleasant to be there watching the big screen, and shaking my ears with the characteristic sound of the cinema. I lean towards the genres of science fiction, action, horror, some that other dramas, and of course animated films. In my spare time I also like to read books on moral philosophy, ontology and idealistic philosophy and literature. Personal development and psychology are also areas that I like to learn constantly.
