I have been interested in cryptocurrencies for a while and have been looking for a community I can learn on and I have chosen BLURT!
I first heard of Blurt only recently through an actifit post on Twitter. I had saw some actifit posts before and decided to follow them which ultimately led me down this rabbit hole to here.
I hope to be a regular contributor here. My interests are foremost writing and... guitar!! Which is related to where my username orignated from, but I will explain more in a future post.

I hope to learn a lot more of, blockchains and cryptocurrencies but mainly I want to join this fabulous community and not only share my own life experiences (maybe a bit of guitar too!) but learn from and share in others experiences also.
I am currently trying to load up on more BLurt through a site Ionomy. Do I have to have a lot for transactions? One of the posts I read said that you need to pay for each post and comment? If there is something I can read I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.
Is there an app? How do I find people to follow?
So many questions and I apologise if the answers seem obvious. I will get there eventually with the help, I hope of you good people.

I only managed one post. I was hoping for a social blogger site with more musically creative communities on it but I didn't find much in that vein. Which isn't a criticism. Not at all, I bought some blurt and hope to maintain an account for when there is more of that kind of content on it. I can talk music but not much more. Till then I will drop by and vote to keep my account active!

Hi, pressed to meet you. that's good to hear. I bought it because I was worried that I wouldn't have enough to cover my transactions. Sorry for the noob question but how exactly do you earn from curation? If there is a chance to earn money from it I will buy more now that I have it figured out.
On Blurt you earn 50% of the value of your upvote … so if your Upvote is worth 100 Blurt you get 50 Blurt every time you upvote someone. It doesn’t matter when you upvote as long as it’s between 5 minutes after they post and 7 days. The more Blurt power you have, the more your upvote is worth. Your voting power drops 2% every time you vote, so if you vote 10 times in a day your voting power drops to 80% and replenishes every 24 hours… so I try to only do 10 upvotes per day.
Good to know. It sounds complex but not overly so. I guess it will become second nature. So that explains the percentage slider bar when I vote, I assume that means you get more votes for your 24 window. I had better get buying as I think my vote is 0.02 blurt at 100% 😂
So many questions indeed, but they are all leading to the right direction. It shows that you have whet appetite for this adventure. It would be exciting to see you grow over time.
If you are trying to buy Blurt through Ionomy, I see that as a good idea. The way Blurt works is that you earn from your content when people vote on it and you also get to earn from other people's content when you vote on it.
If you have bigger Blurt Power (staked Blurt), you will be able to give more tangible votes and in return, you will earn big Curation reward. The powered up blurt will be in your account so, don't worry about anything.
Talking of operation fees, what you need for that are Liquid Blurt. It costs very little to do Operations here so, no worries. BTW, by the time you get your first payout from this post 7 day from when it's created, the liquid Blurt you will receive should be more than enough to handle all the operation cost.
It just happens with a bit of effort. Whenever you are free, you can check the feed
Start with that. You will see alot of posts so, filter through them, check the profile of people that look okay to you and feel free to connect with them.
Don't be in a hurry though, just have fun writing, reading and interacting. Try to do it with people that post quality content. If you feel a good vibe, you can give them a follow and the adventure continues from the. Hehe.

These are just a few of the front-ends which runs on the blockchain. As far as you already have a blurt Account with your keys intact, you can use it to log into any of the front-ends and it will directly connect to your Blurt Account.
Each of these front-ends exists to make it easier for the blockchain to run smoothly despite the heavy traffic. All of them leads to the same place.

What I have done is when I find someone I genuinely find interesting, I begin looking through their comments to others as often it will be to others of like mind. You can also watch for comments themselves in the posts that interest you and often find others of like mind. In no time at all you will have a feed that at times is greater than your voting capacity allows you to support.

The comments in the posts is a good idea and I have found some already. Not a huge amount yet but I am happy in that as I don't want to follow needlessly, I have no desperation in that respect.

Stay consistent and people that like your work will follow. I can't give you much advice about the exchange. What I do is choose the price I think is fair and make a limit buy and wait. Usually within a month I get the price I wanted.
