Wazzup BLURT People!

First and foremost I just want to thank you to this big boss @mermaidvampire for bringing me here in this awesome platform. I saw her FB post about BLURT and even mentioned me in the comment section inviting me to join. Well of course, she's a friend of mine, we've never meet yet but I'm feeling close to her lol maybe because we both speak bisdak.

HEY IT’S ME

By the way, I am @g10a since I joined steemit last September 2017 or just call me Gio for short, “literally short”. Currently working here in Jeddah KSA, originally born in my beloved City of character the Bayawan City in Negros Island Philippines. Bayawan City has the longest boulevard in the province of Negros Oriental that if you want to know lol.

SHORT BACKGROUND ABOUT ME

I graduated from Negros Oriental State University with the Degree of BS Industrial Technology major in Electronics. I supposed to be working in the field of electronics, soldering and fixing your defective appliances, TV sets, power amps and more.

Or maybe inventing/ted time machine for those who wanted to go back from the past or travelers who loves traveling specially in the future, or may be creating time bombs but what? Time bombs no no no I don’t like that man I have phobia of explosion. Lubintador (Triangular shaped fire cracker) exploded in my face when I was 6 so that is why I’m afraid of explosion. Fortunately, as I graduated I was able to work as an Instructor in a non-famous private institution in our place for three years that was 2009-2012.

PAINFUL MEMORIES

Unfortunately, on September 2012 my elder brother got sick and being diagnosed with a Thalamic Glioma so I decided to find another job where I can provide the needs and his maintenance. He doesn’t have medical maintenance as advised by his neuro surgeon but the proper diet and healthy foods. He was being bed ridden and suffering seizures 2-4 times a day. I work in daytime and wide awake during the night looking after my brother while my parents getting rest from a tiring day taking care of my brother.

In November 2012 I resigned and applied abroad. I got hired as a technical support by a Famous company in the middle east. One day, my world went down and became the sorrowful moment in my life when my brother gave up fighting, he passed away on 11th of February 2013.

That was the darkest moment in my life ever. He just turned 30 when he passed away, that young man was my best friend, my protector against bullies. The ever supportive brother, even in the stupid things I did.

I missed those days when he wakes me up early at 5 o’clock just to tell me “tol imung sara-sara bugnaw na ba birahi nanah” bro your corn-coffee it’s getting cold you better drink it. Life is full of happiness and regrets, but that’s life someone will stay, someone will leave but they’ll forever be in our hearts.

Fast forward, After my 2 year contract abroad I went back home in December 2014 and got engaged. I though she would say NO, thankfully it's a YES or she might just said yes because she's afraid I would push her down from the hanging bridge if she answers NO lol.

MY KSA JOURNEY IS NOT DONE YET

In 2016, I applied abroad for the second time as a document controller. I got hired as a secretary and actually working as a procurement coordinator so complicated right? But you don’t need to complicate and waste you braincells about that lol the important is I love my job as it provides my family needs.

Early this year our executive secretary got sick maybe it’s a sign of aging he’s already 61. The management ask me to temporarily work in behalf of him. Until he resigned, so as of this time typing this blog I am currently working as a procurement coordinator and executive secretary at the same time “bongga diba?” sanaol dagdag trabaho, dagdag sahod peru laban lang covid lang sila Pilipino tayo, teka tama ba yon? lumayo yata sa topic. Well, we can’t blame this people they love Filipino to work with them and I’m proud of it owrayt!.

After a year working abroad, we decided to get married. My first annual vacation was our wedding day and it was really a successful event, fortunately no one shouted “iTIGIL ANG KASAL” in the middle of the ceremony thanks God really.

By the way, this is my 5th Christmas away from my family, we celebrate this season together virtually via messenger “kala nyo may pasko sa Saudi no”. There is, but it’s a way different from celebrating Christmas with family in the Philippines. Merry Christmas To All!

CONTENT & EXPECTATIONS

Before Steemit, I was invited by my colleague and my blogging mentor @long888 in a blog site BitLanders. Honestly, blogging is not my thing ‘coz I only have a low-level English a corn-style english only “mais-mais lang ba”. So if you found this blog hard to understand you may blame pareng GOGIL, I typed in Filipino and just asked him to do the rest bahala syang mag-isip.

STEEMIT

The person who is accused for bringing me in the steemit world is the same person who invited me in bitlanders no other than sir @long888 good luck to him lol. That man is a good guy and one of my idols in blogging of course mam @junebride as well. Who would ever forget steemit? That was the first blockchain based blogsite I've ever joined and even helped me providing my family needs in just a short period of time.

Okay, speaking of content that I would be sharing with you hhmmmm. Teka lang, I might be sharing some shots from my smart phone so you’ll be expecting mobile photography content. But please respect ‘coz I don’t own a dollars quality smart phone.

Just think about a photo of a wagging dog’s tail taken by my 60 yr old mom with her 1.3mp camera and sent it to my messenger captioned it “nice na kaau atong iro dako na” says, our dog is now grown and nice. That made me think almost an hour before I realized it was our dog’s tail. Anyway please excuse my mom she forgot her eyeglasses when taking the photo.

I do have my Youtube channel as well where I do some vlogs feeling vlogger eh noh that might be one of my contents here to share with you. I do song covers even though the music is not in favor with me bahala sila dyan you may listen to one of my covers HERE. Most of my vlog contents are about Saudi Arabia since Im an OFW here in Jeddah KSA, sometimes comedy because there are times that I laugh alone lol.

EXPECTATIONS

Well, I’m sure blurt definitely has communities where we can share our specific contents and get more engagement. Just like steemit if you love music you can join openmic, weekly karaoke or if you’re into crypto, photography, travel, DIY, health, sports and more.

And most of all, I’m sure we are all expecting here a better content rating. So the quality content creators will be encouraged and will not be left their content underrated. A lot of quality content creators were discouraged of being un-noticed in the other platforms. Lucky me “parang nodils ah” I mean I’m just lucky I am not one of those quality content creators so I don’t regret anything, I am better in “kalokohan” that’s why lol.

I am so glad that here in BLURT we Pinoys "not Balut" Okay? has the Blurt Filipino a community curator as early as now so the Filipino language contents hindi maiiwan sa ere.

Anyway we’re all here not just for the amount of earnings we may get but we’re here for sharing some of our thoughts, ideas, advice and etc and of course to help this platform grow till it’ll cross the universe.
