Hello there Blurt

Hello everyone,

I'm "ForeverAverage", from Belgium, 30 years old and I work as a full stack developer. Alright, that will cut it for the formal introduction.

As many of you I started my journey on Steem, experienced the storm that withered us through the hard fork that we know as Hive. And despite being excluded from the airdrop (read this if you want to know more about that: https://peakd.com/hive/@foreveraverage/the-hive-exclude-list-and-me-being-on-it) I don't mind checking it out from time to time. I sadly don't find the time so much to be active there though I do love some communities.

Ah the communities, I remember saying, I'll go wherever the communities go. Well it's one of those communities that actually guided me there. @Nerdtopiade messaged me a few days ago telling me that he actually started a witness node on Blurt with some gamers that I remember being quite active gamers and asked me to support him.

I was actually surprised, I remember hearing something about Blurt back when it forked but didn't really give it much thought (it was at a time where work and personal life required quite a bit of attention so cut me some slack). But I gladly gave my support with the promise of checking out Blurt.

I honestly think that Blurt/Steem/Hive is perfect for gamers (yes I'm a big gamer myself) Gamers love making content and the young (and most passionate) ones, tweet stream daily while not having much money to spend on those games. A blockchain that helps monetize that content could be perfect to close that gap. That's something I've been saying since I started on Steem back in 2017.

I do think we where stronger together, back when there was Steem. And while Hive was made for a lot of good reasons it sort of developed in a "us" or "them" story. Maybe Blurt could be the answer for all of us to unify together and focus on improvement once more
