Words & Technologies

I used to be part of our high school's publication and participated in writing contests where sometimes I bagged awards. They said I'm good so when it's time to choose what course to take on my university years, I got tricked and picked journalism.

It's a scam! Just kidding.

I struggled, but I survived. It's just that I didn't practice journalism. I'm now working as one of the project managers for a computing and archiving facility under one of the Science and Technology institutes in the Philippines.

I have a penchant for advanced technologies despite not being a holder of a science-related degree. I put my article writing skill from time to time, but I do write a lot of emails everyday.

Leaning into Arts

On my free time, I practice and study to draw digitally and traditionally (pen/charcoal sketch). You know when you're drawing and it feels like you're not improving, you tend to get demotivated. I have to thank my friend and colleague @erangvee for inspiring me to pursue this interest. (Thank you also @charlocked!) I have to learn more but practicing is a start!

Debilog Blogs

She also introduced me to Steemit, Hive, Creary, and now Blurt. I'm happy that I get to start with a clean slate here. I'm not so much of a fan of my writing and art pieces before.

Some of my favorite writers are Patricia Evangelista, Jessica Zafra, and Ala Paredes. The latter has a Tumblr account which I followed but her last entry was posted three years ago.
