INTRODUCTION

Greetings everyone,how are you all doing today? I believe everyone is good. It's been such a hectic week for me but am glad to make out time and share with you all about few fruits and it's benefits to the health.
Biologically speaking,fruit is said to be the fleshy or dry ripen ovary of a flowery plant. To make the definition more simple we can say that fruits a matured ovary of a flowery plant which means for a fruit to be formed, first there will be a plant which has flower and an ovary and once the ovary gets matured and ripe it becomes a fruit. But one outstanding thing about fruit is that it has a seed which is covered by the fleshy part and the seeds is for reproduction. Each fruit has its nutritional value and today I will take you on a tour to different fruits and it's nutritional value.

ORANGE

Orange fruit comes from the family of citric fruit because it's has many species. It's health benefits can never be overemphasized and at the same time it can be harmful to people with a certain health issue.

Below are few health benefits of orange fruits;

• Orange fruit has a high level of vitamin C. One orange offers 116.2 per cent of the daily value for vitamin C. Adequate intake of vitamin C reduced risk of colon cancer as it helps to get of free radicals that cause damage to our DNA. So orange contains a high level of Vitamin C which helps in fighting cancer.

• Orange also contains anti oxidants which helps in fighting enzymes that causes aging and makes one looks younger daily.

• The presence of vitamin A in orange helps them play an important role in keeping the mucus membranes in the eyes healthy. Vitamin A is also responsible to prevent age-related mascular degeneration, which is the major cause of blindness in old age.

• Orange has fibres which helps in keeping blood sugar level under control and also the soluble water and fiber in orange helps in softening the stomach and aids constipation.

Allergies

Because of the presence of citric acid and ascorbic acid in orange, people that gas ulcer and heartburn should not take it for the sake of their health.

BANANA

Banana is a very popular fruit which most of us consume on a daily basis and one outstanding thing about banana is that it's nutritional value rises the more it ripes.

Below are few health benefits of banana;

• Bananas are rich in potassium and low in sodium content which helps the body cardiovascular system to fight against high blood pressure.

• Bananas contains a chemical called tryptophan which the body converts to serotonin which helps in calming the body nerves,sleeping well and overcoming depression.

• Banana contains vitamin A which helps in aiding good vision and protecting the eyes.

• Banana is high in vitamin B6 which helps to protect the body against Type 2 diabetes and also help in weight loss, according to Flores. In general, bananas are a great weight loss food because they taste sweet and are filling, which helps curb cravings.

• Banana is a good source of antioxidants which fights against aging and skin burn caused by radiation from the sun.

Health effects.

Although bananas are good to the human body but overripe bananas has a high level of amino acid which can cause sleeplessness when taken in excess.

COCONUT

Coconut is one tree that leaves people guessing,it's a nut and at the same time a fruit. The truth is that it has a seed and a mesocarp that is consumable so it's a fruit.

Be low are few health benefits of coconut,

• It can be used in the production of coconut oil which is very good for the hair especially virgin hair and also very good for the skin.

• It's water can be drink as juice and at the same time it can help a drunk person to be calm because some chemicals present in coconut water can reduce the alcoholic level of drinks.

• Also the coconut water is a very good source of potassium which helps in regulating the level of sodium in the body and helps regulate the blood pressure.

• Coconut is also high in fibre which is good in burning fat and reducing the chances of cancer in the body.

Health effect.

Coconut at all time haven't been recorded to have any serious side effect aside from the fact that it hardens cough so a patience who has cough isn't advices to take coconut and alos it has been medically proven that coconut water can stop drugs from working effectively so while on drugs,it's good not to take it.

CUCUMBER

Cucumber is one of the best fruits I so much like because of the fact that it has enough water inside it. Although it confuses people most times if cucumber is a fruit or vegetable buy by our definition,cucumber has a seed and it is developed by a flowery plant so it's a fruit.

Below are few health benefits of Cucumber;

• People has a high level of water and some electrolytes which can be very good in taking care of dehydration in case there is no water at the moment.

• Cucumber contains vitamin K which is very good for strong bone and also help in blood clotting so when one takes enough Cucumber,your injury can easily stop bleeding because you have enough vitamin K in your body.

• Cucumber has enough fibre which helps in controlling cholesterol levels in the body and keep the heart safe.

• Cucumber contains a nutrient called cucurbitacin which helps the antibodies in fighting against cancer.

Allergies

Some people have reported an allergic reaction to cucumber. Anyone with a known allergy should avoid all contact with cucumber.

Symptoms of a reaction include:

swelling
difficulty breathing etc.
