Hi Blurt! + Weekend Recap

HI new Blurt Friends!

So glad to be here and look forward to getting to know many of you as we start this new journey!

I live in California and have a wife and two kids. I will be primarily blogging about my life, finance, investments and hobbies, such as sports, fishing, the outdoors, gold prospecting, etc... let’s get started with a weekend recap! Oh, here is me doing one of my hobbies!

I hope each of you had a nice weekend, as I certainly did.

I had the day off from work on Friday, which was a great start to the weekend!

On Friday, we were around the house all day getting ready for the Independence Day festivities for Saturday. We did some bike riding and swam at a neighbors house for a couple of hours. Overall, it was a fairly low key day but a nice day well.

Saturday was the Independence Day holiday in the USA so we celebrated with some fireworks and a block party with the neighbors... it was a fun!

We spent Sunday morning cleaning the street from the night before, and then played around in the dirt trying to stay in the shade as it was in the mid 90 degree Fahrenheit pretty quickly. My wife has been selling some of the toys the kids don’t play with any longer, so they had some money built up and we went to Target where they picked out a couple of new toys, which they enjoyed very much. We had a pad Thai dinner and put the kids to bed early as they didn’t sleep in after going to bed a couple hours past normal the night before.
