About 45 years ago, precisely 1977 the first world international woman's day was held by the United nations to reiterate the relevance of women in the society, ranging from the domestic home to politics, schools and many more.
The theme for this year's international woman's day is tagged:
'' Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow''
The need for a woman in the society cannot be overemphasized, so today is set aside to educate women on prevailing issues affecting them.
