The Crystal Clear Waters Of Sumilon Island

Cebu is indeed a perfect summer getaway, especially for those individuals whose into the beach. Especially now that the Philippines is in the summer season already, for sure everyone is excited to dip into the beach to cool down and refresh themselves after the warm weather. And for today's content allow me to get you in awe as we visited one of the most beautiful island resorts in the southern portions of Cebu with its crystal clear water the Sumilon island, particularly located in the town of Oslob.

I assume that everyone who's living in Cebu already heard of Sumilon Island and I think even some foreign nationals as well who visited Cebu since it's one of Cebu's tourist destinations during the summer season. Aside from its crystal clear waters the island is also very well known for its sand bar. Unfortunately by the time, we visited the area its already high tide but nonetheless, we still enjoyed it. Here are some of our snaps on Sumilon Island.

We actually went to Sumilon together with my wife and her cousins. As you can see in these photos truly the water is very clear. The area that we are standing in is supposed to be the sand bar but it was high tide during that time.

If it wasn't high tide you can clearly see the area of the sand bar, from where we stood with my wife is the starting point of the sand bar all the way to the white portion on our back that is supposed to be the sandbar. And knowing that it's a beach resort that we are going I did bring my fins with me as well as Janine my wife's cousin. Instead of just dipping in the shallow waters over the sand bar Janine and I went to the deeper portion of the area to do freediving.

Just a few meters away from the docking area we found this beautiful spot that has a few corals. Look how Janine smoothly drift as she passed by these beautiful coral reefs.

Over 6 to 7 meters below Janine found this rope tied into a huge stone and she was able to pass through with it and so do I, unfortunately, Janine wasn't able to capture a photo of me passing through as well. She is only able to capture me while doing the duck dive and as I descend on the surface. Check out the snaps below.
