I found this elegant, solitary mushroom growing on an old tree stump. It's commonly known as "Tongue of the Ox," but its official English name is "Beefsteak Fungus," which is easy to understand given its color, thickness, and rubbery texture that resemble the tongue of a cow, or a beef steak. Interestingly, it's recommended to eat this fungus raw, often in salads, as it has a sour, acidic taste.
