Understanding Insecurity and Overcoming Comparative Self-Doubt

What does insecurity mean? When you feel so unworthy, you have insecurity. You have self-doubt over your desires. You lack self-assurance and have severe doubts about your skills. But why, even so, do we feel this way? I believe that this is the root of it. Once more, these are just my personal opinions. I've recognized this perhaps because I've kind of felt it at certain points in the past. Comparative analysis. I was raised in an environment where people are always being compared. She is slimmer and more attractive.

They have nicer toys, a larger home, more money, and are more intelligent. In my younger years, all of these things were killing me. I thus remain silent whenever I desire something. I consider whether or not I truly didn't belong as I move away from the throng.

I feel like I need more now that I'm older. More gadgets, cash, clothes, stylish shoes, new phones, and so on... I believed that I would fit in once I had everything.

I didn't know these things weren't that important till today. My actual friends adore me because of my amazing personality. My company was what they enjoyed, not my possessions. I became goal-oriented instead of always comparing myself to other people. My dreams will not come true if I measure myself against others; all it would do is impede the journey. I considered all of the things I never got a chance to attempt because I was afraid.

I gave some thought to all the amazing gifts I already had, all of which I was previously only longing for. I was pleased and fulfilled by it. I started setting priorities and learnt to say no to the things I cannot afford. I started saving since I knew I wouldn't be able to afford a new phone right now. I had more happiness and lightness.
