in inroduction •  3 years ago  (edited)

Hi Blurt people! We are the Stick Up Boys an anonymous musical collective from Brighton UK and were introduced here by @offgridlife. We tend to share a lot about music and videos that we make or friends of ours make as well as more recently sharing Gifs that we are making. Here is a little bit about us....

we are here gif.gif

The Stick Up Boys off kilter approach to electronic pop music is orchestrated by an anonymous collective from Brighton, UK. Borrowing influences from modern EDM and electronica as well as the most notorious of the 80’s pop scene, the Stick Up Boys have been heralded as the “new sound of urban pop music”. Their unique and fresh sound is generated from their much beloved analogue synths, their extensive experience in a wide range of musical styles, as well as their collective talents as writers, performers, producers, vocalists and multi-instrumentalists.

They have made a name for themselves producing construction kits and their first sample CD “Stick Up Boys Volume I” held the No 1 spot in the Producer Loops indie chart for several months and have now released 5 more sets of Construction Kits to critical acclaim and have many more on the way.

Fresh on the heels of an advertising campaign for food retailer “Itsu” with the songs “Bling” and “Put another record on” featuring Koo, their song “Trouble” was used in the independent UK horror film “POV”. A collaboration with French conceptual artist Francois Vautier produced a video for the song “DNA” which attracted worldwide interest.

The Stick Up Boys released their first single “Getaway” with Quark Records in the USA, and a second single “Party in the backyard” released in summer 2015.
They have released a four song EP release with Respect Records based in Hamburg, Germany and have had a top charting dance songs with DJ Jerome Clarke “Yuna records” and international artists Luxe. They then released a 5 track EP with Quark records in the US in October 2018.

Since then the boys have set up their own label “Stick Up Music” releasing BTT in May 2020 which was picked up by Spotify to be featured on their playlists. They have also recently become proud members of the Electronic Music Alliance and have been happily doing collabs with many of their members.

The Stick Up Boys work with a number of Sync Licensing companies providing a wide variety of different genres. They work with many companies both exclusively and non-exclusively including Lemoncake, Synctracks in London, Rinse the Sync, Lift Music in Brighton as well as many other companies providing music for TV and films.

The Boys pop up in lots of different places in time and space and have worked and been ghost writers for many global artists. For contractual reasons they remain, as ever, anonymous in all forms.

If you have any more information please call a policeman.

Look forward to getting to know you all

hey great will do! Is there a way to upload gifs on here?

Right now it can't be done because dev team is working in the img server, so the best way is to upload those gif in other site like Hive, Steemit or even Hackmd.io and paste the link in here :D
