Mugging for the Camera

I've been interested in using Night Cafe to enhance drawings. This would help me create unique creatives for my blurt posts.

I've created ten images so far which I put in this Night Cafe Collection

My thought was that I would put the drawing on Verify Your Brain and the enhanced picture on Blurt. I seem to average a dollar a post on that other platform and a penny a post on Blurt.

Technically, the enchanced image and the drawing are two separate images.

Is this an abuse of Blurt?

Drawing a Camera

Yesterday's #inktober prompt was #camera. Since I had to run errands all day long I thought I would just skip it.

Anyway, I thought about trying a quick sketch of a huge camera taking a picture of a tiny stick figure.

About ten minutes after midnight I thought I would just try the sketch. 37 minutes later I had the sketch below.

I got the perspective wrong. I really messed up the lens hood and the lens is at a different angle than the camera.

Despite these minor problems, the drawing that is sitting on my desk looks okay.

Now for the problem. For some odd reason I was completely unable to get a decent picture of my drawing. The white balance was way off. The white of the page was a dim grey. The graphite of the pencil and the pitch black of the ink came off as a 50% grey.

I tried adjusting the white balance with software to little luck.

The picture below is the best I could muster.

I was able to improve the white balance in the top image.

It takes me a long time to create a post worthy image. If I could lower the time needed to draw an image to an hour or two; then I might be able to create more Blurt posts.
