Hey everyone. I just set up 2 communities for us here on Blurt.

Information War and Preppers

Information War community is just like the Informationwar tag. The only rules I set was to be respectful and show sources of information when shared. That's about it.

Preppers community is for prepping of any kind and survival skills including bushcrafting. Let's share skills and knowledge all in one convenient place. The only rule I set was to be respectful.

This covers things I post about as well as other bloggers here on blurt. Looks like I will be getting back to posting on prepping and survival like I used to.

Thanks everyone and I look forward to these communities growing.

You've got me in both of them! Looking forward to seeing more of your work, and maybe getting it together to post some of my own.

I am thrilled to have communities here on blurt. Thanks for joining them. I think everyone is going to enjoy them.

Other than the 3% tax collected, what is the purpose to assigning a community when making a post? Is it mostly just another form of tags/categories?

What do you mean 3% tax collected? Did I miss something? I thought it would just free up a tag so tags could be used for searching rather than overall topic. You know, so blog posts could show up perhaps better on a google search so more people can see our posts. We only get a few tags.

Yup. The community account gets 3% per post. And the community account is just a kther regular account with numbers at the end. You can withdraw, delegate, transfer etc just the same as any other account. I made one too to figure it out.

If you join your community with your own community account you get owner status and thus can assign guests to a higher status to help run things.

blurt-174103 is the one I made but haven't made an official announcement yet.

Oh I see! I was wonder why I was given a key when I made the community. Okay, I get it. Hmmmm......I have to think about how much time I want to invest in these communities. It makes sense to use funds in its account for contests and stuff like that. Engagement events.

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I also just joined your Free Speech Community. 😃

It threw me off a little too. But once i signed into the wallet with the new account I saw it was exactly the same. The key it gave ws the master or owner key.
Keep it safe. Keep it secret. Let no wraith smell it.

Apparently the community owner will get the opportunity to change the "tax" rate, after a future upgrade.
There seems to be quite a frenzy around communities at the moment! I'm still not really sure what they do :P

Good because I would lower the "tax rate". I guess we will see how it all plays out. 😜😀
