The Big Duh

I used to send my kids to school with bars of natural soap, because the only soap available in the bathrooms was antimicrobial. So you can imagine that, when TPTB started telling me I had to sanitize everything, my hands especially, I refused. I gotta say, that in the beginning of covaids, the only people I knew who got covaids had been sanitizing everything in sight. Perhaps covaids IS A DETOXIFICATION EVENT. Long covaids too. All illness probably.

Three years later, even the NYTimes is calling BS on that sanitizing BS. Here's the headline:

Who needed to be told this?!!!

The article goes on to say that simple soap and water is enough:

Yet they still tell us that all this smearing of toxic chemicals on our persons and our belongings, and all this injecting toxins directly into our flesh, and all this inundating our bodies with OTC and prescription drugs, has had no bearing on the incidence of illnesses. No siree. Those things are all necessary to keep us healthy.

Please stop believing that the answer to all our health problems is to poison ourselves.

This was such a farce, the sanitizers and what not. I never got one in my home and all these silly things were banned in my home. Just a simple self-care worked for me and my family.

The other issue with sanitizing everything in sight is the fact it is damaging to our immune systems. Our immune systems are designed to be engaged. To be constantly activated. If this does not happen, it's just like everything else. It weakens. People end up less able to fight off a variety of infections if they live in a sterile environment. People wonder how my Dad can live in the wild for years in his late 70's without ever getting sick. Cuts and abrasions don't get infected, no waterborne sickness, no foodborne illnesses. He lives in and with dirt/microbes. That's why. He has a fully functioning immune system that is functioning the way it is designed to.

Personally, I use anti-bacterial products in the kitchen and bathroom. Meaning on things in there. Nowhere else and never on me. When these products are gone, my husband already decided that we will be making our own using vinegar and lemon juice. No more chemicals. Cheaper too!!!!! We have been moving back to the basics for a long time. This is another step.

Excellent post and it's too bad more people don't see them.

Vinegar is great for cleaning, and easy to make for yourself as well. So happy you have a father who lives more naturally than most of us do. We're told it's better, that anyone who lives like your father is deprived, and some say depraved, but it is the way our bodies were designed (if you will) to live. Healthy, not poisoned, free. Good to know.

Yeah, Dad left society. My parents are divorced and as soon as he retired from his job he was gone. Right now he travels and sleeps in a short school bus he converted into a simple camper. Nothing fancy. Just a bed and some cabinets. He lives in the desert in Arizona mostly but also New Mexico and Nevada on public land. He lives mostly outside as his set up isn't like an RV so he has to live more or less like a survivalist out there and is out there alone most of the time. He loves it and is happier than I have ever seen him. He is truly living his best life. He's a Vietnam Vet and had PTSD. What I know as Battle Fatigue. He's a happy camper out there. Thriving actually.

He visits us every once in awhile here in Iowa. He is back in NY right now to get his eyes treated. He is losing vision in one eye. And......staying with my Mom and her husband. I have a weird family. My Father and step-father get along which is amazing. I think my step-father thinks Dad's lifestyle is amazing and I think he's a wee bit jealous, LOL. He loves listening to my Dad for hours about what it's like and all the adventures Dad has had.

The need for freedom is in my genes.

This reminds me of a book I read, a biography about a man who chose to live as your father does, but he had no income, so he had to steal from the cabins and homes around him. He pulled this off, even though he was being looked for, for a very long time, decades I think. Lots of people didn't mind this, and left stuff out for him, which he never took, he broke in instead. Lots of people did mind however, and he was eventually arrested, diagnosed as some kind of crazy, and FORCED BY LAW to live more socially acceptably. He was no longer happy, but the law and social workers were. They thought they were big shots who had saved a man from himself. It opened a whole lot of questions up for me about what is sanity, and who decides that. (I am now diagnosed as a kind of crazy because I won't submit to ineffective and unsafe medical procedures) I understand why your father lives as he does. Good for him! He's good for the rest of us!

I think there is a bit of my Father in all of us. LOL.

Did you ever see the photo of the hand gel that had burnt away the stand it was dripping on?

No I did not see that. But it's certainly believable. We poisoned ourselves for three years, and then wonder why we got sick. There's been a sort of targeted brain death regarding medical "care," as if it can do no harm, and any illnesses we contract are purely by chance. They make us sick with their guidance! Our bodies are the product. Stop going to the doctors.
