Local treats

When I am in Mumbai there are few must things to do. Mumbai life is fast and very glamorous, on a daily basis thousands of people from all over India come to Mumbai, some come as tourist and many come for seeking better opportunities. Mumbai population just keeps growing by the day and the city has become so congested.

Last evening me and hubby had to meet her sister, who stays half an hour away from our place. Whenever we go there one thing is for sure to do and that is having Paan. It is very famous in India, and there are varieties of Paan. It is like a mouth freshener and had after meals. Consuming a Paan is not considered to be healthy, since it's made of Betel Nut (Supari)and Betel Leaf and there are some other unhealthy ingredients also. But there are modified versions of it also, which does not consist of the Betel nut and those other ingredients, rather this modified version is made of nuts and grated coconut, there are some with fruits also like berries. These are the ones that I really enjoy having.

Here are the different flavors of Paan.
The first line is the traditional one, the second one is fruit and nuts paan, the third one is mango and the last is chocolate. The chocolate and the mango are the new flavors

This one is my pick, which is called the Maghai, it is made of nuts, grated coconut and some sweet things. I totally love this one. two to three times in a year I have one and enjoy it.

Some of these are like traditions which have been from my childhood times and they will go on forever.
