Today is a big festival for many people, not only Indians but worldwide people pay respects to Lord Ganesha and pray to him. I was never a Lord Ganesha follower in my growing up, but there came a point in my life where I was very disturbed and I was feeling like Life has nothing for me except problems and obstacles. This is for real that I had high suicidal tendencies in those days. This is around 12 years back. Whatever I was doing to mend my situation was falling flat back on me with more obstacles and problems. I was full of negativity in my thoughts. At this time, my sister asked me to visit her residence which is in another city for the Ganesha festival. She would every year get Lord Ganesha to her home during Ganesh Chaturthi for 2 days. I decided to go that year for the first time ever for Lord Ganesha's prayers to her home.
During the prayers also I was having tears in my eyes and I was feeling helpless for my situation and only asking him to do some miracles for me and change things in my life. For 2 days I spent there, I spent lot of my time just sitting next to him and complaining about my life. After that I came back home and got busy in a few days time with my routines. There was some miracle that was happening, suddenly when I came home, my mother in law had some very different mood with me, which was good and ideally it was never that way. Suddenly she was nice and gentle to me for no reason. I had some financial issues and I received some help on that front as well. I was stuck up in a job for 15 years and was not getting a new job after trying for almost 5 years everywhere, and then I get a call from one company for a job interview, they offered my 40% hike in salary, and then other miracle happened, in 6 months time of getting that job, I got another job offer and they offered me another 40% hike. The way things suddenly started taking turn in my life was nothing less than a miracle. After a gap of many years with my family we had a family holiday. It was all getting unbelievable but it was for real, and from that time on my faith started building up on Lord Ganesha. Who would not? Anytime if I was stuck in a situation, the only thing that first comes to my mind is to pray to him and my prayers have always, always been answered. My faith only keeps getting stronger and stronger by the day. So now I also follow the ritual of bringing Lord Ganesha home during Ganesh Chathurthi and hold prayers.
Last 2 years I could not do it due to some circumstance but this year I had made it a point to do it anyhow. Since last few days I have been occupied on preparations of this big day. It always gets very hectic but there is lot of satisfaction at the end of the day of doing it all by myself. Through out the day, guests keep coming for blessings and in the evening we will have prayers so during that time a lot of our friends will visit. After the prayers, I have arranged for some snacks. This year I decided to make everything at home and not order anything from outside. Thanx to my cook, who has been on the run and doing a lot of things for me. I am highly grateful to her, because without her it would never be possible for me to do it.

The next few days will be in prayer and service and it is very blissful, the energy is high and nothing bothers. Today morning the priest had given us time of 6 a.m. for the prayers, so we had to be ready by then. It was a very early start as lot of things to be set up before the prayers.
I did all the decorations and lighting myself. The effect will be better at night with all the lights. I will click some pictures then and share.

I am enjoying my time right now in my own high energy space. It's bringing in a lot of positive energy in my space. Just spending time in Prayers and rituals makes me feel blissful.
