One must realize that success in life is a never-ending journey toward personal improvement rather than a destination or an ultimate achievement. The foundation of success in life is the pursuit of self-improvement. You must realize that there is always space for improvement if you want to do this. Whatever you have accomplished in life, you should know that there are countless opportunities to improve and do much more.

Your journey should not end at a moment when you beat your chest, declare, "I have made it," and give up on improving yourself. If not, what you once considered success can start to become less true. Making constant attempts to enhance success is one strategy to maintain it.

You will become aware of your incredible potential when you train your mind to be receptive to continual advancement and development. You are capable of improving every day, but this is also a result of the beliefs you have instilled in your mind. To fully accept life's boundless possibilities, you must have an open mind. The goal is to keep pushing to improve as you get better, not to give up. You can only consider your day successful if you have made progress from your previous day.

In order to consistently advance in life, you must develop the ability to take stock of who you are and what you have accomplished, viewing them as a journey rather than a final goal. Furthermore, consider your advantages and how you may build upon them, as well as your disadvantages and how you can improve them. Of course, failing can also help you identify your weaknesses and gain insight into how to strengthen them in order to advance.

While it's good to celebrate your accomplishments, what comes next? It is important not to get too caught up in the glitz and glamour of the accomplishment that you lose focus on your future goals. More people have been brought down by success than by actual failure. In other words, when they succeed, they tend to settle down, whereas the person who failed would have worked on themselves, tried again, succeeded, and continued to advance. Never forget that life is full of goals to be made and accomplished.

The decisions you make at each stage of life will dictate how the others turn out. When you have a trip to a destination with a layover at a specific location, do you pack your things and head out of the airport believing you have reached your destination? You will become trapped if you do. You will just keep traveling until you reach your destination by continuing on the voyage. The same principle applies to life: never consider yourself to have arrived when you reach a goal; instead, continuously strive to improve because there are still more goals to be accomplished than you have already accomplished.
