Dudi's Back, Back Again, Tell A Friend!

I know I haven't posted for a while, and that's because I've had many grief-filled events happen recently. Now I'm back, and I have lots of stories with me. Some are more pleasant than others.

I went to visit my Thai family for my summer holiday as I usually do every year. But this year wasn't the best. I came down with a really bad flu, I had a high fever for days, achy joints, and a nasty cough. Some of my relatives said oh you might have covid but I just said just let me rest and I'll be fine. I was partially right. Most of the time I was sick it would be really bad in the morning, but by lunchtime, it would pretty much go away, then it would come back before I went to bed. Everyone was basically flabbergasted, they were shocked at how my body would suddenly be all well one moment then an hour later all weak. Flabbergasted? I love the way that makes me sound so British.

What made things a weensy bit worse was that my sister came down with food poisoning and when I wasn't feeling too weak I would be called upon to look after her. She was way worse than I was, but why was I always the one who had to wipe her down with a wet cloth, or remember when she needed to get up and take her medicine? I was sick too, but nurse Dudi was on the job.

By the end of the holiday, I was feeling much better. The only downer was that I lost my sense of smell and taste, and it still hasn't fully returned to this day. Since I was almost well again, my aunt decided to treat all my cousins and me to a little weekend getaway to the beach. Let me tell you, I loved it! I hadn't been to the beach in maybe a year and a half. We went to Chao Lao beach at Chantaburi. It was so good to feel the sand between my toes and the big waves crashing into my stomach.

All in all, I had an okay-ish time with my family. Even during my sick times, I would always try to get up and have a bit of fun, even if my head was spinning and spinning.

Hi @dudiland, Welcome back!! I’m a little bit late seeing your post. 🙃 Glad you feeling better!

By the way your symptoms was similar with me when I had flu. It was funny because day time I felt totally fine then when the sun went down suddenly my body started shivering and had fever.

Unlucky me, it was because I got covid. 😅 I didn’t do any Covid test but I know it was because I had diarrhea including for a few days. Haha.

Anyway hope to see your new post coming soon… 😉
