Marguerite daisies are native to the Canary Islands and Madeira but they are widely cultivated in many parts of the world particularly in warmer regions. They are often used as ornamental plants in gardens and parks as well as in containers on patios and balconies.
Marguerite daisies are relatively easy to grow and maintain as they prefer well-drained soil and plenty of sunlight. They require regular watering, especially during hot and dry weather
In addition to their aesthetic appeal marguerite daisies are also valued for their medicinal properties. They contain compounds that have been shown to have anti-inflammatory antimicrobial and antioxidant effects. Some traditional medicines use marguerite daisies to treat respiratory ailments digestive problems and skin disorders. However it's important to note that more research is needed to fully understand the potential health benefits and risks of using marguerite daisies medicinally.
