Back in London now. Hurray. Not.
Anyway, I'm back at one of my favourite cafes drinking some high quality stuff, watching people go by. The sun is out and people seem happy, even though we're supposed to be entering a recession.
I've been through recessions before but this one seems different. For one, unemployment is not as low as it would normally be during a recession. Also, a lot of people don't realise we're going into one, either because they thought we'd been in one this whole time, or can't see any difference.
It may be because this one, probably more than ever before, is an artificial, planned and very well orchestrated recession. In hindsight it's clear to see the events play out one after another, almost like a Netflix drama.
I only wish I'd known beforehand what was going on. I would have prepared for it a lot differently. Oh well, what can we do. Let's enjoy the ride shall we?
