The herculean task

We had this most difficult task at hand in my new home. A 3 seater sofa had to be taken up to the terrace, we had to move it up by 2 floors and the space is not very big to move it take it up comfortably. I was worried when I got it made that how it would be taken up to the terrace. The carpenter had assessed the area and assured me that it will be done without any hassle, but I still had my doubts. When the furniture arrived, at that time then everyone started getting worried as to how to shift it up 2 floors.

We definitely needed extra hands to do the job. Thankfully I had some people doing other jobs in the house and I requested them to help me, which they agreed to do and that gave me some relief. Even after that to take up the thing was not an easy task. 5 men got to the job and slowly gradually the sofa was taken up to the terrace and then I had a complete relief. None of the other furniture had any issues to be carried up except for this particular one.

You can see the space is narrow and it is difficult to make turns, these guys are skilled in doing such jobs so they slowly kept moving up.

I was anticipating that they were going to damage something or the other but then nothing as such happened and it went up.

This was the most difficult part to turn it at the bends

Finally, it's got to it's place.

For this particular task I had kept the painting on hold, now that this is done the final painting work will start from today and hopefully in a week's time it will be completed.
