During these Christmas holidays me and Mary visited Reggio Calabria where her parents live and then we moved to Alberobello in Apulia.
Reggio Calabria is a nice place, with nice sea and nice landscapes.
Here is an astonishing picture I took above Palmi, of an initiating sunset

Of course during the vacations, my yoga practice had to go on and the magical place where I could practice was this one. Mary’s parents have a high house on a hill in Reggio Calabria, where all the Sicilian’s coast is visible.
So that was my practicing place, where Asana and meditations had a totally different taste.

A tradition from a small village close to where Marys’ parents live is creating a nativity scene out of old clothes and rags. Every year is the same but it’s always heartwarming :D
And here is another great sunset, with the sun behind the clouds, in an afternoon we were at the seaside.
And while during the trip, we could not miss this amazing place with a great sea. Here we were in the north of Reggio Calabria.
The night before Christmas great shows happened in the centre of Reggio Calabria with a nice Gospel choir and some acrobats performing.
Like I mentioned in a previous article, Christmas in the city is quite repetitive but what I understood is that Christmas lives inside us and we are the ones that have to have a new birth. Cities and material things are not here to stay. Our feelings and our being are here to stay!
