I logged onto Hive sometime last week and saw posts made within the last 7 days were downvoted to zero. The person left no message as to what I did wrong. I assumed it was another bully-down voter because they did not leave any feedback on what rule I broke.
I saw adm removed my rewards. After writing messages on the last post on their blog, and the discord. The Hive watchers claimed I am vote farming when I only have one account.
I see These platforms as a way for creators to post without the bs of social media ( eg videos on tiktok getting taken down for "harassment and bullying" ) Hive cannot be that platform when HW can just say anyone is vote farming. Or if someone reported me for vote farming, not asking for any type of proof. YT tracks all interactions and removes fake views, upvotes, and subscribers. They have a system. Hive needs something like YT to remove fake, bot, and scam accounts.
Now I am unaware of how the report system works. This is why I feel briefing the creator is important. Without any info, I can only guess what I think happened.
A way to track the creator of the fake accounts etc.
You can easily vote a post for someone unaware they are a scammer.
Another reason the platform needs a block button, you can just block the fake profiles. Have a bot made by a witness scan your profile and leave you a message if it detects a bot or fake vote. Then you can report it.
I can't address something I am unaware of. If you tell me instead of reporting me, I can make a post letting people know that I have no association with the scam accounts.
