A British Parasite Lurks On The Hive Writing Platform

1. Introduction

You may notice that this is the first article of mine that I have not copied over from my PEAKD channel on the Hive writing platform. It probably will not be my last. It is because something happened on that platform that really has my blood boiling, and I want to get it off my chest.

Once upon a time so many years ago, I was riding a bus from the city to my community. There was this one woman who sat next to me. She was at least 20 years older than I was, if not older.

I got into a friendly conversation with her. She seemed like a nice person. Then I brought up the topic of a sex scandal that had taken place at my school back when I was in the sixth grade.

Now, I can understand that there are certain sensitive topics that some people do not care to discuss. However, instead of this woman telling me that she would prefer not to talk about the matter or changing the subject, she turned into a complete buffoon on me and got off the bus with a dreary look on her face before she had even reached her bus stop.

Every time that I had seen this same woman from that point on, I felt like walking up to her and giving her a piece of my mind. Her previous behavior was offensive. Well, I actually came across a woman like this on the Hive writing platform. However, she turned out to be the least of my worries.

2. A Puritanical Cesspool Of Raving Idiots

Less than a year ago, this one female Hiverean told me that it wasn't that my articles on my PEAKD channel were not good. It was just that I needed to engage more frequently with other Hivereans if I wanted my articles to receive more comments and upvotes and earn more money than I did. Her advice appeared to be well thought out.

One night I decided to take this woman's advice. It seemed like a good idea at the time. I stumbled across this one article titled "Redefining 'Age Gap' " by honeydue. Upon reading her article, I found that she was using the term "pedophilia" as a misnomer. I, therefore, posted a comment to her, and I stated:

There's a lot of debate within the scientific community over whether it actually takes 25 years for a person's brain to develop. Pedophilia has nothing to do with movies about a teenager and an adult falling love with each other. Yes, it's true that the American culture tends to stigmatize these scenarios more aggressively than other cultures do. However, if you're viewing the movie Gardens of the Night, then you're watching a movie about dangerous pedophiles inasmuch as the victim in that movie is an 8-year-old girl. If you're watching American Beauty or Diary of a Teenage Girl, then you're merely seeing a film about a forbidden romance between a teenage girl and an older suitor. It doesn't necessarily have to be about anything predatory.

Like a demented drama queen, honeydue went ahead and hid my comment. That is, she hid it, and an alert read, "Hidden due to low reputation or author preferences Display comment." Nothing like this had ever happened to me in all the years that I have been present on the Hive writing platform.

Instead of challenging my comment as she should have done, she decided to behave like an arrogant dragon lady. Not only had she hidden that one comment of mine to her in that manner, but she did this same thing to all of the comments I posted in the comments section of her article.

Well, it turned out that honeydue was the least of my worries. I made friendly replies to other Hivereans in the comments section of honeydue's article. For example, I posted a reply to a comment from the ringmaster, and he was amicable about it in his reply back. However, there was this one Hiverean who calls himself "mobbs." On his PEAKD channel, he also calls himself "mobbsidian." He lives in Shanghai, the People's Republic of China.

I tried to be friendly in my reply to mobbs, but he became suspicious when I typed "LOL"; and he thought that I was making fun of his user name, when I wasn't doing so at all. There was nothing offensive about what I had posted to him. However, like the dunce that he was and still is, he had to go off on a tangent about everything.

Mobbs replied to me and posted:

Well I mean... If you can completely remove the artist from the art then it might have some impact in and of itself. But the fact a human wrote it makes me feel a bit sus, only because I live in a world where epstein's island was a whole thing, and so much of it is out in the open.

Everyone knows that Jeffrey Epstein was a rich tyrant who stepped all over others to get what he wanted, especially teenage girls. It doesn't mean that older men are to blame for all teenage girls' problems as mobbs so apparently believes.

Therein mobbs further posted:

There's that red hot chili pepper guy who is 61 and dating a 19 year old - and a ton more out there. Sure, legal, technically, but that's still pretty messed up. How long were they talking before the young girls became legal?

I just find it hard to believe somebody who doesn't personally have a fantasy about this stuff would write about it purely for arts sake. Like, I wouldn't write a book about the explosive romance between two ballet dancers - not my wheelhouse.

Well, if it's not affecting his life, why does mobbs even need to care? Mobbs is obviously one of those dunces who believes that every man should be a Tony-Danza/Macaulay-Culkin centaur and marry his high-school sweetheart when he turns 19.

Nonetheless, I tried my best to be civil toward mobbs, even though he did not deserve it. Unbeknownst to me, he had downvoted one of my articles on my PEAKD channel. After I discovered it, I questioned him about it. His only excuse was that he did not like my posts as he found them to be "highly disturbing."

What does he want me to do? Human-interests stories do not attract views or upvotes. Controversy sells. It was clear that he was looking to pick a fight with me. After I complained to him about his actions, he had the audacity to reply and post:

I'm not throwing dead animals through your bedroom windows. It's just a downvote. We've all had them at various times. Anyway here is not the place to discuss

Oh, really, mobbs? In case you're reading this article here of mine, mobbs, I question whether you would think of it as "just a downvote" if someone were to do that to you. Moreover, if you didn't want to discuss it with me in that comments section, you should have removed the downvote from my article. If you didn't like my articles, nobody forced you into reading them. You could have simply refused to read them. Problem solved!

Nevertheless, the hilarious thing was that honeydue decided to put mobbs' comments and replies in her comments section into hidden status. I guess there is no honor among buffoons like them both.

Out of curiosity, I decided to look into mobbs' background. Interestingly enough, posts he had made in the comments section of his own articles had been placed into hidden status. Hmm. I wonder who he ticked off.

I have not linked any of his articles, comments, or replies to this article here of mine, because I don't wish to give him a platform. I have no desire to send any traffic his way, especially after what he did.

Anyhow, I saw a picture of him and read his background. He can be best described as a younger, scuzzier version of Piers Morgan. Yes, he's British, and he's in love with himself as so many other British men are with themselves.

Now, I'm not trying to direct any hate against British people in general. I even have British in my ancestry as so many other Americans do. However, whenever I deal with jerks like mobbs or let me call him mobbsy bobbsy now that he has given me the right to make fun of his user name, I can understand why England is no longer a vacation destination for Americans and people from other nations.

The weather in England is atrocious, and many people there are snobby and cold exactly as mobbsy bobbsy is. I advise people to go vacation in Budapest, Hungary instead of England.

Hungarians are friendlier than British people. Their food tastes better than the food in England. Everything there is less expensive than in England. Most Hungarians there speak English.

When I was doing translation work with the Spanish language, a co-worker of mine named Guadalupe informed me that she had lived in England for a substantial period of time. She insisted that British people simply can't help the way they are. I responded to her that they don't have to be so pompous about everything and so self-righteous.

I once read a Reddit discussion thread concerning why people hated England. One man complained that when he was in England, people had smiled in his face to feign their friendliness and then they pickpocketed him. Mobbsy bobbsy certainly lived up to his image as a backstabbing British thief after he needlessly downvoted an article of mine, causing me to lose money.

I guess I need to wait until my articles on my PEAKD channel have reached their eighth day before I engage with a jerk like him so that I may ensure that he cannot downvote them. Better yet, I should probably not engage with British buffoons like him at all.

I haven't been able to find that Reddit discussion thread again to link to this article here of mine. Therefore, I guess everyone will simply have to take my word for it that it does exist.

Once when I posted a controversial article on my PEAKD channel about the prospective assassination of Joe Biden, there was a man who posted in my comments section and replied that he disagreed with my article. He and I chatted back and forth briefly, but our conversation never became hostile.

This same man ultimately decided to follow me on my PEAKD channel and gave me an upvote on my article. Mobbsy bobbsy should have the decency to do that, but it's not in his British DNA to do so.

As I dug further into mobbsy bobbsy's past on his PEAKD channel, I came across an article from when he was 29 years old in which he admitted that he had sex with a young Russian girl. She didn't look a day over 17 years old. In fact, she looked like the Russian model in the video below.

My, oh, my. What will his new wife have to say about it? A teenage Russian girl bedding him before she did. He is such a joke, and yet he believes himself to be some kind of moral guru.

Luckily, mobbsy bobbsy has no presence here on the Blurt writing platform. Who would want him? He thinks that he is holier than thou, when he's really a clown act. How would he get along here without the downvoting feature being available to him? He's proof in the pudding that misery loves company.

Mobbsy bobbsy did post an article on his PEAKD channel about how much he hated England, even though it was his country. He's not alone, but here's the problem. It's people like him that is the reason why so many people don't want to go to England for any reason. Aside from the high crime there and the bad weather, many people feel unwelcome once they get there because of people like him. He is not all that as he believes himself to be.

3. Final Thoughts

I have been on the Hive writing platform for a substantial period of time. I have not become a millionaire in publishing articles on that writing platform, but I have learned a considerable amount about decentralized platforms and how they work. The Hive writing platform has been good to me.

Since the time that I first signed up to become a member of the Hive writing platform up to the time right before I had engaged with mobbsy bobbsy, I had only had one downvote on one of my articles. The person who did so eventually removed the downvote, although he did not do so soon enough.

Mobbsy bobbsy had no reason to downvote any of my articles, and I honestly do not believe that he read each and every one of them, because if he had, he might have learned a thing or two from them instead of turning hostile on me. He was only looking to start trouble with me.

I don't hate all British people. I don't even view myself to be a xenophobe. However, facts are facts, and England has become an undesirable place to which to travel. At this point in time, I'm conflicted on whether I would ever pay for an airplane ticket to go there. There are so many other nicer places to which to travel.

In any event, people like mobbsy bobbsy give that nation a bad name. Instead of being hotheaded and opinionated as he is, he could for once stop and listen to what others have to say about a given topic despite that he may not agree with them. I guess he thinks that agreeing to disagree with someone is way below him.

I know someone is eventually going to chew me out for having posted this article here of mine, and I don't like to talk down on any of my fellow Hivereans on the Hive writing platform. However, I don't like to remain silent about something, especially when someone like mobbsy bobbsy has trespassed on my turf.

Mobbsy bobbsy has no right or moral high ground to put down my writing. I didn't notice anything special about any of his articles. He mostly brags about himself in them. He needs to let others live their own lives and he live his.

A number of you here on the Blurt writing platform still have channels on the Hive writing platform and continue to post there. Avoid engaging with mobbs as much as possible. He is nobody's friend.
