Old hands will remember that the reason Hive forked from Steem is that the top twenty witnesses felt that Justin Sun threatened their cushy set-up. And it is cushy, they each earn 11,000 Hive a month for witness work which isn't complicated because someguy123 made "Hive in a box" that doesn't require much work.
Anyway, they're feeling threatened again because khaleelkazi of LeoFinance asked the leo community to vote for his witness.
Leofinance guy has been very busy, getting wrapped leo listed on independent exchanges, sharing advertising revenue with his community, making an alliance with Dash coin people, and even trying to make connections with the bitcoin developers. So he thought he deserved recognition.

My feeling is Leofinance guy will end up departing with his community. Remember, Justin Sun started Tron as a ERC-20 token on Ethereum and then transitioned to a stand-alone coin. There is no reason Leofinance guy can't do the same, as he has done the hard work of having independent listing on external exchanges, they're not just on hive-engine. They have their own interface and developers. If you have a big community, you can set up a stand-alone coin.
