it was my first day work after the pandemic, I went on a trip to Ubud town with some tourists who visit Bali with a cruise ship. The bus trip started in the morning and departed to east Bali. We visited a place called Kerta Gosa, or the ancient hall of justice.
In the hall of justice, there was a building called the floating pavilion, This was a place where the king of this region to receive and welcome the his guests. After spending 30 minutes there, I continued touring to Ubud.
After this I went to several places in Ubud, including the Puri Saren (also known as Ubud Palace and the central market. The market was actually close because it was being renovated. But there were plenty of places to shop in Ubud.
We stayed for about 45 minutes to get in Ubud. It was not a long stay, but it's enough for just a bit of souvenir hunting.
I walked on the main way of Ubud with a friend of mine, and thought the traffic has turned bad again like before the Covid. This is one of indication that
the tourism industry has started to rise again in Bali.
My friend commented that Ubud will not become a great attraction anymore, if the traffic congestion problem is not solved. Well, the local government has always been trying to solve the traffic problem, for example, by not allowing big busses to go to Ubud or creating a central park outside Ubud area.
After visiting Ubud, we head back to the pier. I was done for the day.
