The Misfits obviously one of the most influential bands ever. Not just limited to punk rock but bands like Metallica make it clear without them they wouldn’t be the same band. Another band I did like a few songs early on but didn’t fully appreciate till right around college age. It’s funny looking back like obviously I have mad love for bands like MxPx,Rancid or NoFx and the way it was through them I found the bands they grew up on like Misfits , Black Flag , Descendents or even the clash or Ramones even though they were well known (Clash & Ramones) but hearing they were the bands that influenced say after grabbing a Green Day album in 4th grade like I would look for who they liked and get into bands not mainstream. MinorThreat is a band I didn’t really get into till my early twenties. We’d go to see nineties bands and see a million Minorthreat tees and hear em at the venue between bands but it didn’t hit for me fully till I was over 19 or so. One of the most impressive and important bands in the scene!

NOFX was one of those nineties punk bands that I got on right after hearing albums in 1994 like Dookie by Green Day and that 94 Offspring record Smash. Looking back I prefer the Ramones or Misfits then NoFx but I sure considered them a favorite band through middle school and high school.
