It wasn't working for me, but I was able to make it work by changing the nodes in the settings.
Maybe that will work for you, too.
This is what I have set for the nodes on my end (the image is clickable to open the full-size version):

Not sure what you did here.
In the menu on the left side of the screen, I clicked on settings, which brought me to the settings screen. In the settings screen there are options for which nodes to connect to. There is a dropdown list for Avalon nodes (Avalon is the blockchain that Dtube runs on), there is a dropdown list for Steem nodes, one for Hive nodes, and one for Blurt nodes. I think that the default node for Avalon wasn't working, so switching to a different one fixed the problem. If you're on a mobile device, you might have to click on the hamburger button (it's the square that has three lines in it) to access the menu.
I use video the most personally I would love dtube to pick back up not sure if it will

Ha yeah I was really liking dtube for a bit but it rly dropped off lately not sure it’ll come back now rly :/
Is it playing for you? Maybe I need to use a different browser or something.
It does on dtube but the links have gone funny for sure I’ll add YouTube ones on too
