There are some festivals which have been celebrated with pomp since ancient times. Holi festival is one of them which will be celebrated with great pomp here tomorrow. There was a lot of crowd in the market in the evening, even everyone had to face the traffic. Surely some social purpose is hidden behind these festivals, due to which we get a chance to do something good. People play Abir Gulal and colour till 12:00 noon and after noon the time is to meet each other. After noon people wear new clothes and show their happiness by hugging each other. However, at present its perverted form is also being seen. The young generation is using it wrongly by deviating from its main purpose. Even different types of intoxicants are being used on the occasion of Holi. Certainly by staying away from these things, efforts will have to be made to keep the old traditions alive, otherwise the day is not far when the festivals will be completely extinct.
