Happy September, y'all beautiful people!
I recently posted our trip to the rocky island in Luna, La Union and to get there, we had to ride a balsa boat/cottage. One balsa ride costs Php250 Pesos or around $.50 USD good for 4 pax. Paying for the tour guide is discretionary. The balsa rise is indeed fun and best of all, the our tour guide pulls the balsa to get to the island and that would require a couple of minutes. It isn't basic pulling an immense balsa made of bamboo and soft wood with 4 people on it considering our tour guide was somewhat skinny and short. I was concerned he was unable to make it, but he did. Thank goodness!
