#SublimeSunday - Snow Day in the Great White North

I have been working up to posting with @actifit again regularly but the damn winter seems to have me constantly under 5k steps. I won’t let that stop me and this little fellow is with me.

The post is also dedicated to @davedickeyyall who has managed to cash in his hive and real estate riches and escaped the snot to somewhere warm. Give him a follow for some good green fun and know that his reaction to this pic will be “screw that snow!”

This is the trusty tool that will enable me to vanquish this meteorological onslaught and hopefully be able to actually drive my car out of the driveway. As it is, we are 2 feet deep in places where the drifts are, and my clearance is 8 inches tops.

This is your fearless fairweather Eskimo looking more like a ninja…with a beer themed mask. Alright fine I am a Beerologist with a snow blower.

By the time I got through with pushing the beast around, I was covered in snow, frozen whiskers, and there was another 3 inches of snow piled up again. So I did it again.

While I was at it, I put some more gas in it and cleared the sidewalk in front of my closest 3 neighbours. This is dog walking central neighbourhood and I couldn’t have the little fluffies and those brave enough to walk them fight a foot of snow on the sidewalk

Speaking of fluffies, my old girl was none too pleased when I opened up the back door to let her go out. She gingerly stepped outside, walked up to her shoulders, fixed me with a disappointed look and went right back inside.

My little one had no such issue. He bounded through the snow drifts, chased the shovel fulls of snow I cleared, chased a rabbit from the yard and sat pretty when it was picture time.

While the day started like this……

…it ended with the sun almost managing to peak through the clouds that were bringing the snow.

This is how the drive to the beer store was. @davedickeyyall would NOT approve.

This is how you should attack a deep winter day like this. Hibernate.
