Harvesting garden savory

in hive-193552 •  2 years ago

It's time to put away the most frequently used spice on our family table - the garden savory.

I had planted it in the beds around the eggplants. Now it has started to bloom and it is time to prepare it for drying.

After cutting the stems low with scissors, I lightly washed them and tied them into bundles.

I hung the bundles in a dry, airy place out of direct sunlight and will let them dry.
