I had a realization regarding Hive this past weekend; why do I try to write so much stuff? My brain is the type of brain that likes to get into lots of different things; it gets engaged for a bit, then loses interest. I do it all of the time and have noted that it seems to be getting more pronounced as I get older. It honestly drives me bonkers.
So what does any of that have to do with Hive?
Well, for starters, it dawned on me that I need to cut down on posts. That means skipping those Splinterlands posts…I mean, I do love the game, but no one wants to read about my daily rewards. What value does that add to anyone’s life?
Not much…so my goal is to do two posts a day, moving forward. I’ll post something to my favorite communities each day (and get back to the communities I’ve let slip of late). That means concentrating more on photography and writing. It also means I’ll also post a daily #Actifiti writeup too.
Why?
I was incorporating a mindfulness exercise into each daily post. The goal was to think of three things to be mindful of each day…three things to remind me that life isn’t all about valueless work and toxic coworkers. There’s more to it, I think (just kidding, I mean I know!)
So let’s see how long I can keep it going then…so getting back to basics. What are three things I was thankful for today?
Getting a morning hike in on a beautiful Monday morning
Having a good day at work where I was actually productive
Getting home to enjoy a beef roast and root vegetable dish for dinner
I mean, it was 35F this morning. That’s stew weather!
So all that said…that’s the plan. Let’s see if I can stick to it as the week starts to batter me down as we move forward…
