It was definitely a Mother’s day kind of Sunday, but I still managed to get my 10k goal in. The day started with a quick trip to the store to get a card, flowers, and a cookie for mom (Hattie had to have part of it, however, once we got home). We then had a cinnamon roll breakfast with eggs and bacon; needless to say, the calories were adding up. Throw on top of that a grill out at my parent’s place, and it was a big day of food. Cheeseburgers, bratwursts, and even some calico beans and it was a feast for mom’s everywhere.
Exercise for me included a few dog walks, a short lived hike in the quarry, and plenty of running around my mom and dad’s backyard with our daughter. That helped me get over the hump.
Three things I am thankful for :
Having my family nearby
Being able to enjoy wonderful food with family
Having this area around us to enjoy the outdoors
Despite the fact it was miserable all morning, I do realize how much beauty is in this area. I think I’ll start taking more photos of trees, as above, for my daily Actifit posts. I do love the trees in this area…and once I finally get that drone going, look out for photos galore!
Sunday goal’s met…will I able to keep the good, healthy attitude this week? Time will tell!
