The sun has not made an appearance here, I think for at least five days. That’s five days of grey skies, rain, strong cold winds, and no sun. I’m actually feeling it a bit today.
Although I did not get my vitamin D in, I actually ate pretty healthy. I picked up an Israeli salad and some tuna fish salad from the co op. The salad was pretty good; a mix of cukes, tomatoes, dill, and an oil…not bad for a veggie dish.
For dinner, we had leftover pork, potatoes…and I picked up some more ramps. Those wild leeks are wonderful. I picked up yet another bunch today so that we could make some eggs with them for tonight’s dinner. Can’t wait! With some luck, there will be a few more there tomorrow that I could possible pickle yet this week.
With that said, three things I was thankful for yesterday.
- My wife and daughter (and dog)
- Coffee (wow, yesterday morning’s coffee was wonderful)
- Having a job
Most of my activity was met with two Ms. Mabel walks and a longer Monday morning walk around campus. I found a good podcast about Andy Warhol, and how he was potentially a disruptive cultural agent promoted (by design) to disrupt 1960’s and 1970’s culture. The gist is basically that he Warhol was a gifted artist, but eventually found success by becoming a manual photoshop artist. I can kind of see that, actually.
Anyway, enough of that; on to the next day!
