The weekend's weather was miserable yet again. Add to that a bunch of work and I wasn’t able to keep up on my goal of regular Hive posts. All seemed good and in the balance until last week Thursday; a project dumped on me threw me off rails. It’s always something…
With that said, Sunday proved to be (somewhat) active. Despite 5 hours of work, I did get a lot of Hattie and dad running around the house in. With Mabel, of course, too. The dog walks also helped me get to my goal.
The best part of yesterday, however, was dinner. We cooked a pork roast in our cast iron with a bunch of carrots and sauces…then I sauteed up some delicious ramps. I love ramps…this is my favorite time of the year here as ramps are in our co op. Pricey, but delicious.
Three things I was thankful for yesterday:
- Having my family
- Being able to enjoy a home-cooked meal of pork, potatoes, and ramps
- Having a job (even though it required a Sunday of work)
Unfortunately, I had to work late Sunday night, so I forfeited the Monday morning hike to look for mushrooms. I’ll try to get a post in later this week for the mushroom crew.
On to the next day….
