My Actifit Report Card: April 13 2022

I just barely cracked the 10k mark...just barely.

It was another dull day in terms of exercise, but I really brought my A-game to work. There was a debt refinance situation between the two companies owned by my boss. The details were hazy, and the explanation was abstract. I actually had to pull out those old t-accounts from college to wrap my brain around whatever the hell happened, and poof, I figured out. Who said t-accounts are worth nothing...well, they actually are worth nothing unless you are an accountant, too. And if you are an accountant, well...I feel sorry for you...

Exercise wise, I managed a walk with Ms. Mabel, and some running around from my office to the shared office printer.

That thing is great.

Three things I was thankful for yesterday:

  • Having a job
  • Having a house (there were some nasty storms in the area that made me appreciate a roof over my head)
  • Being able to help my wife and Hattie out yesterday as Hattie was home with yet another stomach flu

I guess me a getting off of my cleanse has helped. Both my wife and daughter were home sick yesterday, yet somehow, I keep ticking. Thanks, double IPAs, I knew you were good for something!

Although I didn't make my goal, I'm still happy I had a good day. I think this whole "being mindful" thing actually works. Time in this lifetime goes too fast.

On to the next adventure!
