Doing Our Part and Praying for the Best

As America had a "red trickle" in the mid elections, so is now Malaysia hanging in the balance of a split party with no simple majority to form a government yet.

However its people are not giving up hope and many of us are still praying for HIS Sovereign Hand upon this nation to guide this "Fatherless Nation" ahead.

No, Malaysia is not a God-less country. Despite of different faiths, its people knows Holy is His Name (in different forms no doubt) and always looked at good instead of cursing off just to have a licentious lifestyle.

Its people would even either travel home a day or two early, without grumble why they were thrown back to their home state despite of changing addresses to their current residence....

Including waking up wee hours in the morning and started travelling at the break of dawn to have their voice heard.

Schools (public or private) were opened as polling stations , volunteers stepped in to help.

There were no fight or disputes , at least at the rural area. Everyone had a solemn duty and the people were very courteous to one another and to the poling officers.

Seniors citizens had a special place to sit while waiting for their turns , and no one complained as long as the flow of people kept going.

We didn't have any qualms nor dislikes when we were required to ink our non dominant fore finger as a sign we did our part.

In fact, businesses celebrated our efforts with throwing in meal promotions to treat (lure) famished voters a good meal.

Of course, taking this as an opportunity to treat my parents a nice "bottomless side dish" meal was definitely worth a tiny hole in my wallet. 🤣💸
They braved through wonderfully with lack of sleep and enduring long hours of travel.

Even massive rain did not stop us.

Neither was jamming for an hour on a highway.

Not even flood and rain will stop the people.

In the end, though the nation's faith still hang in the balance of uncertainty, those who served their country knew they have done their best.
