Happy Independence Day Malaysia! 🇲🇾

in hive-193552 •  2 years ago

The season has come for a proper day out after weeks and months of work and hospital runs most of the time!

And what better to do so on Malaysia's independence day?

Though it would have been fun to squeeze with everyone at the city center sweating , just to have a glimpse of the parade; but being not able to see most of my friends and support group face to face for 2 years, it would just be appropriate to spend some quality time with them with fresh air and morning sun!

I still have plenty more people I care very much who I yet get to see again

It was definitely a sight for sore eyes, having this oasis close by the city yet not congested like the rest at 7:30am. Moreover the place have a few good features than just picnics.

For instance it was big enough for me to re-launch Nordic walking exercise again, where I finally managed to find some old "paws" for flat ground Nordic walk sticks to work.

Though I am "suffering" from the aftermath exercise now haha 🤣

Moreover this is the only Dog Friendly park in the city center where no one will question anyone why the dogs wander freely and played happily.

Long story about the restrictions of having dogs at public places in Malaysia

You literally can see dogs of all breeds and sizes like children running around so happily!

The only place where Muslims can actually bring their doggo babies out for exercises without prejudice and persecution

definitely a puppy's haven

Other than that, there are also dog friendly restaurants beside the lake where families can head straight for a hearty breakfast after exercising with their dogs

@philiprenelee, @matthew.lily and myself were definitely famished after the run.

(The elderly sat by the lake and enjoyed the fresh air)

Not entirely cheap but definitely delicious.

Not forgetting the simple decor was just adorable too

Overall it was a really pleasant meetup after 2 years and we all had quite a bit if fun and catching up with one another.

Now we are looking forward for the next public holiday so that we can come here again.
