This is our second time to come to this place to hopefully find the way to a waterfalls somewhere around this area. We took a cab from our unit to get us to the trail that leads to this place. We thought this is where we can find the way to the waterfalls but we were wrong.
There was no one around to ask for directions.
We gave up and decided to go eat at Calajo. We then hiked going there which was about a kilometer or so.
We have been here a couple of times but this is the first time since pandemic.
Goods and other merchandises are displayed on the first floor. It's a mini grocery if you will.
We headed straight away to the dining area and find a table.
We settled with the familiar food that we have had there before which are Green Curry Chicken, Tofu with Shrimp and red rice. My partner ordered cucumber and carrot juice.
Our order arrived longer than usual but understandable since there are a lot of other diners.
Green curry chicken costs Php285.00. It has some eggplants and green peas in it. It is cooked in green curry with coconut. It is creamy but a bit saltier than I remember. This serves 2-4 people.
Tofu with shrimp in balsamic sauce costs Php195.00. There are six slices of tofu with shrimp and cut of tomatoes on top. I was surprised by the tomatoes. I don't remember this kind of tomato used before. It was sweet and juicy and mango is the closest I can associate it with.
Finally, we ordered one cup of red rice each which costs Php45.00 each.
The juice costs Php130.00 but I forgot to take a photo. I ordered water only.
Once done, we checked out the mini grocery below and bought some products as well.
These oyster mushrooms are placed on a banana stem and covered in plastic. That's my first time to see a banana stem used that way. Really clever and environmentally friendly except for the plastic wrap. The mushrooms cost Php80.00.
I felt in love with the tomatoes that we had in our meal and was glad that they have it sold so we bought a pack which costs Php165.00.
We both used those in our pasta for dinner later on.
I saw this and bought it right away for I haven't tried Carolina reaper sauce. I tried it when we got home and it was intense! Rip tongue and mouth lol! This costs Php285.00.
Finally, I ran out of mixed nuts so I was pleased that they have some sold here. This costs Php315.00.
All in all, it was a good day. Even though we failed to find the waterfalls, we did have a good brunch and I was happy with our purchases.
