My husband and I took our traditional walk out to the lake. We have mane options for parks and walking trails, but this is one of my favorites.
My eye was completely captivated by a white sail among the other boats.
The boat was moving around and so was I. But whether it was near or far, my eye gravitated to that while sail.
There were other boats that begged to be photographed too.
The next picture is of two jet skis getting ready to be loaded onto a trailer. Next to the dock is my husband, sitting on a bench and waiting for me to finish taking pictures so we can walk back.
It was a beautiful walk. I love the canopy of green along the trail.
We met someone unexpected on the trail — a great big snapping turtle! Several people were gathered and were watching it. One man conjectured that it was a female getting ready to lay eggs.
They are very dangerous, and can bite right through your fingers, so you can’t get too close. We all wanted to move it off the trail, but it is too scary to get near, and no one had any helpful implement.
Finally we just continued on our walk, hoping bikers and others will not disturb the turtle.
The trail was fragrant with flowers.
