14700 Schritte ++ Landschaft ++

Hallo Freunde,

diese Landschaft mit Bergen, Reisfeldern, dem Pazifischen Ozean, kleinen Siedlungen und größeren Dörfern und Städten habe ich nicht erwartet und bin wirklich positiv überrascht. Langweilig wird es hier bestimmt nicht.
Nur zum Fotografieren bin ich noch nicht gekommen, zu viele Eindrücke und @Reccandra ist natürlich wichtiger.
Das Städtchen Lobo im Distrikt Batangas hat vielleicht geschätzte 5000 Einwohner und nicht einmal davon habe ich auch nur ansatzweise etwas gesehen. Aber heute habe ich wenigstens das Meer gesehen, leider nur vom Jeepney aus, der sich die Serpentinen von Batangas City nach Hause quälte.
Diese typischen Jeepneys scheinen nur noch die Form und die Sparsamkeit mit den originalen Jeeps aus dem Koreakrieg gemein zu haben, alles andere sind wohl organisierte Nachbauten mit rostfreiem Stahl und Motoren aus Japan. Aber ein paar Blechteile vom Original-Jeep findet man immer. Vielleicht ist das für die Zulassung notwendig.
Das Fahren damit ist alles andere als angenehm; Polster kennt man nicht und die Kopffreiheit ist selbst für kleine Leute wie mich mit 173cm praktisch nicht vorhanden.
Aber noch schlimmer sind diese Tricycles. Da steigt man ein wie in einen Handschuh und fährt dann auf gleicher Höhe wie in einem Gokart. Das ist nichts für schwache Nerven.
Ich hoffe, dass ich in ein paar Monaten einen philippinischen Führerschein machen kann, dann fahre ich wieder selbst.
Der Verkehr hier ist sehr ruhig, vielleicht liegt es an der geringen Bevölkerungsdichte oder die Leute sind einfach entspannter als in Großstädten, auch wenn die Straßen mal voller sind.

Überhaupt die Menschen.
Ich war sehr überrascht, dass hier so wenig Englisch gesprochen wird, obwohl Englisch neben Tagalog und anderen philippinischen Sprachen die Amtssprache ist.
Jedenfalls ist es hier, wo ich wohne, keine Umgangssprache. Ich werde wohl nicht umhin kommen, ein paar Sätze verstehen zu lernen.

I did not expect this landscape with mountains, rice fields, the Pacific Ocean, small settlements and larger villages and towns and I am really positively surprised. It will certainly not be boring here.
Only to photograph I have not yet come, too many impressions and @Reccandra is of course more important.
The small town of Lobo in the district of Batangas has perhaps an estimated 5000 inhabitants and not even of this I have seen even rudimentary. But today I saw at least the sea, unfortunately only from the jeepney, which tortured itself the serpentines from Batangas City home.
These typical jeepneys seem to have only the shape and the economy in common with the original jeeps from the Korean War, everything else are probably organized replicas with stainless steel and engines from Japan. But you can always find a few sheet metal parts from the original Jeep. Maybe that is necessary for the registration.
Driving it is anything but pleasant; upholstery is unheard of and headroom is practically non-existent even for short people like me at 173cm.
But even worse are these tricycles. You get on like in a glove and then ride at the same height as in a go-kart. That's not for the faint of heart.
I hope to get a Philippine driver's license in a few months, then I will drive myself again.
The traffic here is very quiet, maybe it's the low population density or maybe the people are just more relaxed than in big cities, even if the streets are sometimes more crowded.

The people in general.
I was very surprised that so little English is spoken here, although English is the official language along with Tagalog and other Philippine languages.
Anyway, it is not a colloquial language here where I live. I guess I won't be able to avoid learning to understand a few phrases.
