Arsenal showed some real intent with their second game since the world cup, away at Brighton, this was not going to be an easy fixture with Tossard and Mitoma in really good form. Mikel put out his best squad available to him, with Nketiah again the only exception, starting 2 games in a row and bagging two goals in a row taking his season total to 5.
While his goals have not been pretty, he is giving Mikel something to think about considering that Jesus had not scored for 11 games prior to his injury. It was a real team performance, with all the front 3 scoring and captain Odegaard bagging another goal.
While concentration and zip faded in the second half resulted in giving away two goals it was a well-earned three points for Arsenal and a massive boost for the game against Newcastle who has been in superb form of late.
I would really like to see more of this new front three and I hope that Nketiah continues his good form, so Jesus cannot simply walk back into the team but really needs to earn it.
