Pepe has arguably been the worst Arsenal signing in the history of the club, spending a record-breaking 72 million for a player who is on par with another Arsenal flop Gervinho says it all. When Arsen brought Gervinho in from France and him also playing for Ivory Coast he was 3 years younger than Pepe and Arsenal fans ripped into him for poor performances and it wasn't long before he was gone.
Pepe came in during a transition for the club, but with that price tag had a lot to prove and didn't do anything memorable.
Since Mikel called time on his career and shipped Pepe out, the winger has weighed in with six goals in 18 appearances across all competitions including the winner against former club Lille on only his third outing in Nice colours.
That's put some glimmer on his transfer and we could command a fee for him, nothing like what we paid but something.

Nice have not put in a bid for him, so he will go back to Arsenal at the end of the season where he will have just 12 months remaining on his contract. So not much bargaining power with Pepe valued at €15m (£13.1m) by the CIES Football Observatory and there's a chance this improves in the coming months it could reach as high as 20 million.
Looking at the current Arsenal first-team squad, he would never get game time and if you can take the 52 million loss on this complete failure of a player I would say its a good deal.
